Let’s pretend, just one tribe,
not polychromatic;
neighbourly, we rumour

and sugar tea and tales
with a cornucopia
of homemade bakes and facts;

this manumission of
folk, mid-morning Thursday,
no tweet-up, let tongues wag:

Your choice of words got my attention, Phil-- polychromatic, cornucopia, manumission-- spice things up. And the end line interests me.

Thanks David, appreciate the nod to ‘spice’. I like to fish for diction, in Shakespeare and Joyce, more often in history crime fiction. Part of the reading fun (for me).
