Adrenaline.
The text book say it’s adrenaline.
A sudden surge of which
causes the heart to stop, momentarily.
Then, upon resuming,
beat a little faster.
The book makes it perfectly clear
in words even a layman can understand.
What they can’t explain is why.

you walk into the room.
